（43）英国英语与美国英语的差异

英语是1607年英国移民带到美国来的，当时使用的英语属于早期现代英语。美国独立战争以后，美国的民族主义情绪也在语言中表现出来。韦伯斯特Noah WebsterOctober 16, 1758 – May 28, 1843)等人积极提出了确立“美国语言”的主张，并编写了流传至今的《美国英语词典》，南北战争，两次世界大战以后，美国英语不断发展，很多的新词汇都产生于美国英语。
当然，英国英语和美国英语仍属同一门语言，语音，语法都几乎相同，最大的差异在于词汇。
